Review # 62 Ever After High Duchess Swan Birthday Ball Doll

Ever After High Birthday Ball doll line is one of my favorite EAH doll lines. I love pastel colors and monochromatic color schemes of the dolls. I can’t wait to see the Bithday Ball story in one of the upcoming webisodes on Ever After High YouTube channel. In February 2016 I reviewed two dolls from the Birthday Ball line: Cedar Wood and Rosabella Beauty that are deluxe dolls of this line and also Target exclusives in the USA. Today I would like to show you a budget doll of this line, Duchess Swan that recently became available on amazon.com.

Duchess Swan in a Daughter of the Swan Queen from the Swan Lake ballet. So far there were only three dolls of Duchess (signature doll, Fairest on Ice and Birthday Ball) made and I am happy to have all of them. What makes her dolls unique is that they are taller than the standard EAH dolls, as you can see on the pictures below. I would love to see more Duchess dolls being made in the future and in my opinion Duchess as a Black Swan (or a White Swan) would make an amazing San Diego Comic-Con exclusive doll.

Birthday Ball Duchess Swan looks different than usual. The entire doll is styled in a monochromatic purple color scheme. Until now purple was Duchess’ secondary color and this time it was used as a primary color. I really like her new look, especially the purple hair. I wish her headpiece was painted like on the promo picture but overall I think she is nicely made. As a budget doll, Birthday Ball Duchess Swan does not come with a stand or a brush, she is also not a scented doll like Cedar and Rosabella. The only accessory Duchess comes with is a purple handbag that looks like a present.
