I wanted to get a new Barbie Doll mainly to see how she has changed over the years. Last time I had a Barbie doll was over 10 years ago! I decided to go for one of the dolls from Barbie Style line because of their great outfits and the articulation of their arms and legs.
Originally I wanted Raquelle (she is my favorite character from Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse series and I really like her dark hair), then I fell in love with Teresa (her outfit is amazing!) and finally I got… Barbie! Why? Well, I was doll hunting with my husband and he said that Raquelle’s outfit is not spectacular enough, Theresa is just a girl he would go on a date with, but Barbie stands out and he would pick her up at party because she looks hot. I agreed and we took her home!

I really like how they incorporated the print from her clothes on the sides of the box.

As you can see, she’s fully articulated and very poseable.
Barbie’s face is really pretty. I absolutely love her rooted eyelashes!
It is an amazing experience to discover Barbie again after all these years. I still remember playing with Barbies when I was a child. I loved them so much and it didn’t bother me then that I messed them up. Now I’m taking care of all my dolls and I’m constantly making sure that they’re in perfect condition.
This Barbie Style doll is awesome. I like her face, her clothes and the fact that she’s fully articulated. I will definitely buy more Barbies in the future!

14 May 2015 at 01:45I am in the same boat as you…I loved Barbies as a kid and I just purchased my first one as an adult this past summer! My favorite growing up was Tropical Barbie and Miko (hence my profile pic) ๐ and since then, I just bought another modern one and I love her! I love the new faces they came out with this year and although the one I got doesn't have that great of articulation, I am looking forward to switching her head onto a style Barbie I got my little daughter for her birthday (she won't mind or notice!). I usually keep mine on the shelf and just take her out for photographs as we have many other "beat up" Barbies that I can play with my daughters. ๐ Another new favorite of mine is "Resort Style Grace" so I hope to pick her up soon!

I've never seen her before and I was wondering who is on your profile pic ๐ My favorite doll growing up was Baywatch Barbie with a laughing dolphin (he's still somewhere at my Mom's house and he still works!). It must be amazing to love Barbies as a child and then to be able to play with them with your own children! ๐
