Doll Hunting in London # 2 – Hamleys Toy Store

Hamleys is the oldest toy shop in the world and one of the world’s best-known retailers of toys. Located on Regent Street, Hamleys is 15-minutes walk from Disney Store on Oxford Street. Hamleys’ flagship store has seven floors covering 54,000 square feet (5,000 m2), all devoted to playthings, with different categories of toy on each floor. I was mostly interested in dolls and collectors’ items.

Monster High

I’ve never seen so many MH dolls in one store. There were news ones from Gloom & Bloom and Monster Exchange lines, but also old dolls from 13 Wishes and Frights, Camera, Action lines. Dolls cost from £ 20,00 (Music Festival line) to £ 30,00 (Haunted line).

Ever After High

They had all Spring Unsprung dolls and new characters: Duchess Swan, Kitty Cheshire and Ginger Breadhouse. It was the first time I saw Ginger in person, she’s so beautiful! Dolls cost from £ 25.00 (Basics) to £ 32.00 (Spring Unsprung line). One doll’s price surprised me – Original Release Briar Beauty was £ 45.00!

Harry Potter

They had so much stuff! I really loved that they had each characters’ wands 🙂

Have you ever been to Hamleys? 🙂

Awesome! I would be able to spend hours in there, lol. Sadly, I have never been…I wonder if it is similar to FAO Schwartz in NYC?
